Interview with our GORGEOUS bride, Leah:
HOW DID YOU MEET? We met on a blind date set up by a mutual coworker. We met at Luma in winter park and stayed there talking for hours. We really hit it off!
WHAT ATTRACTED YOU THE MOST TO YOUR HUSBAND? His easy going personality and caring ways. When we first met he talked about his family and things he cared about in life and I knew he was a keeper.
HOW DID HE PROPOSE? After two years of dating he took me on a bike ride to our favorite place in Baldwin Park right around a nature preserve. We brought our dog Bosco with us as well πŸ™‚ He set up a picnic before he proposed, but I knew something was up when he couldn’t eat his food!
WHAT INSPIRED YOUR VISION FOR YOUR WEDDING? Old Hollywood glam was our inspiration. I love dramatic blacks, golds, silvers and went off of that.
TELL US ABOUT FINDING YOUR VENUE: We both agreed on the Ballroom at Church Street right when we walked through the doors. Having our ceremony inside was important as a just in case for rain and the atrium in the entrance was perfect for this. I had always pictured us coming down staircases and the gorgeous gold staircases hit it right on. I loved the space there was for all the different parts of the wedding and the opportunities for photos.
WHAT WAS YOUR BIGGEST PLANNING CHALLENGE? I think just trying to work at the same time of getting all the wedding stuff done was tricky. I would definitely reccommend taking a few days off the week of your wedding! Really it wasn’t that bad though because my planner Michele Butler was so quick to help with anything. The most I worried about was that all the guests were enjoying themselves and it looked like they were!
WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE DESIGN ELEMENT OF YOUR WEDDING? The ballroom at Church Street itself was so beautiful with the gold staircases and stained glass. We played off those elements of old Hollywood and used floral arrangements that played its beauty up.
DID YOU HAVE ANY DIY DETAILS? I made my save the dates and programs so they had that special element of different textures. The most fun DIY I did was part of our favors- a donation card to ASPCA with pictures of our beloved Bosco the dog on them. πŸ™‚
WHAT WAS THE MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT OF YOUR WEDDING DAY? It felt so rushed getting ready and meeting all of our time frames up until our first look pictures. I think we both loved the “sneak up” moment of the first look and are so happy to have shots of it. Even though there were people around it felt so special to see eachother for the first time on our wedding day.
DESCRIBE YOUR CAKE: Having a huge wedding cake was not a big thing for us because neither of us love cake! We chose shot glass desserts in all different flavors to get just enough dessert in whatever you wanted. People loved them and we laughed at many who didn’t even wait for a spoon πŸ™‚
HOW WAS YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER? Knowing what great work Sara and Jason always put out made us totally comfortable and confident in them. I had no worries of what we needed to take pictures of because they were right on point. The photobooth set up by them was 100% the best and most talked about part of the wedding for the guests. They were always where the action was but so hidden- it was amazing!
WHAT’S NEXT FOR YOU AND YOUR HUSBAND AS A COUPLE? We are ready for whatever life throws at us next. We love where we are in Baldwin Park so we will probably live and grow in our family right here. Hopefully now that all this wedding drama is over we can finally settle down and have some more time together!

Another fantastic Magic Kingdom engagement shoot! Tatyana and Rory are from Boston, and decided to vacation here in Orlando at Disney. They actually got engaged 2 days before we met up with them for this shoot!

And now for something a little different… Katie and Matt are locals, so we figured we would let you get to know them a little bit! We started at their lovely home (Gator fans, awesome cat!!), took some pics at the Orlando Museum of Art’s Loch Haven Park, and most importantly – went to have some classic grub at Hot Dog Heaven πŸ™‚ I am more than a little in love with this shoot – so enjoy!
