Jason and I were thrilled to go to my home town of Vero Beach and photograph this beautiful family of five! We do not do many family shoots, but just couldn’t resist when we were contacted by a childhood friend 🙂 Here are our favorites:

Interview with our LOVELY couple: Catherine + Tim:
How did you meet? It was a blind date. We hit it off. ☺
What attracted you most to your husband/wife?
Catherine – I loved his handsome smile and his charming intelligence
Tim – She was extremely intelligent and could match my wit. She’s also hot!
How did he propose? He proposed at Christmas time – we have a habit of buying each other a lot of presents well before the actual holiday or birthday. And Christmas is no exception. Christmas though is focused on my son, who gets so many presents that we give up opening them all. So some presents carry over until the next day. When the time was right, he surprised me with one more stocking stuffer that he “forgot” he had.
What inspired your vision for your wedding? We always start with small ideas that turn into grand productions. We wanted a small wedding and considered eloping… then six month later we were at a 120-person wedding. Go figure!
Tell us about finding your venue: St. Augustine is one of our favorite cities as a couple. I had been to Casa Monica before and it really pulls in that old time St. Augustine feeling.
What was your biggest planning challenge? We had such amazing vendors who handled almost every detail for us, that nothing was really challenging. However, guest transportation issues were the biggest concern – St. Augustine doesn’t have its own major airport, and the streets are really tiny so flying in/driving there for a Fourth of July wedding, and getting everyone out before the city closed the streets off for fireworks was a challenge.
What was your favorite design element of the wedding? Everything was so beautiful and so carefully planned… We loved it all!
Did you have any DIY Details? I am not a do it yourself bride. However, the wedding favors (individually wrapped and labeled wine bottles) were the only thing that I prepared myself.
What was the most memorable moment of your wedding day? It was the entire day! We picked Fourth of July for a reason – and had fireworks all day long 😉
Describe your cake: The cake was amazing! We chose Tiffany blue and Coral Red for our theme to go with the Fourth of July date. The cake was blue with red flowers and made of red velvet – delicious!
Describe experience with photography? One thing we loved is that Sara and Jason were very non-invasive. It was very hot and we had to take some photos outside but they were very professional, and very speedy! They were super creative in the types of shots they made and incorporated the Fourth of July holiday into everything we did!
What’s next for you as a couple? To live and love life.
