Interview with our amazing bride, Bethany:
HOW DID YOU MEET? I thought he was cute, so I walked up to him and introduced myself. Did I mention that happened in the 7th grade?
WHAT ATTRACTED YOU THE MOST TO YOUR HUSBAND? Justin has a great smile and he is such a sweetheart. I love that he is so calm and laid back.
ā€œBethany has a beautiful smile and I love her personality. You never know what sheā€™s going to say. She keeps me laughing.ā€ – Justin
HOW DID HE PROPOSE? While on a weekend getaway to St. Augustine, Justin proposed to me atop the historic St. Augustine Light House.
WHAT INSPIRED YOUR VISION FOR YOUR WEDDING? Our wedding really reflected our own personal style. I did not necessarily draw inspiration from one particular source ā€“ other than our minds.
WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE DESIGN ELEMENT OF YOUR WEDDING? Hands down ā€“ attire. As someone who enjoys fashion, I knew I wanted a dress that wasnā€™t ā€œtypicalā€ and I definitely achieved that. After browsing several bridal magazines and even shopping for a dress, I knew that a traditional wedding dress was not for me. My dress was an expression of my personality and personal style.
Apart from my own dress, I wanted something different for each of my bridesmaids. We had a blast shopping all over the state of Florida (and even into Alabama) to find the perfect dress for each bridesmaid. All of their dresses reflected their personalities and personal style as well.
DID YOU HAVE ANY DIY DETAILS? Our entire wedding was really a team effort. The centerpieces were completely DIY. My Papa painted every wine bottle and antique candelabra and then Justin and I put together each one of them by hand. My mom made all of the bouquets. Thanks to a great group of friends, our vision was brought to life in the decoration process.
WHAT WAS THE MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT OF YOUR WEDDING DAY? Dancing the night away with all of our fabulous friends and family.
PLEASE DESCRIBE YOUR CAKE: Instead of a traditional wedding cake, we decided on a dessert buffet. It was filled with an amazing assortment of gourmet desserts ā€“ including maple bacon cheesecake bites that were divine. We had a small chocolate cake that we used for cutting.
HOW WAS YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER? AMAZING! It really does not get any better than Jason and Sara. They are such a joy to be around and make the entire photography process delightful.
WHATā€™S NEXT FOR YOU AND YOUR HUSBAND AS A COUPLE? To enjoy life together as husband and wife. We look forward to traveling with friends and starting a family some time down the road.

Interview with our beautiful bride, Megan:
HOW DID YOU AND YOUR HUSBAND MEET? Our mutual friend, Brian.
WHAT ATTRACTED YOU THE MOST TO YOUR HUSBAND/WIFE? Heā€™s playful and adventurous. He said I made him laugh and was playful.
HOW DID HE PROPOSE? In our house on a snowy night.
WHAT INSPIRED YOUR VISION FOR YOUR WEDDING? The book A Practical Wedding: Creative Ideas for Planning a Beautiful, Affordable, and Meaningful Celebration. I bought it shortly after we got engaged, and I made it to page 19. At the bottom of the page it said, ā€œI want you to keep this in mind: I will not remember what our wedding looked like; I will remember what it felt like.ā€
Perfectly sums up what we wanted for our wedding. More about the love and less about the stuff.
DID YOU HAVE ANY DIY DETAILS? Nope.
WHAT WAS THE MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT OF YOUR WEDDING DAY? The vows we wrote for each other. We decided to make it easy and start with ā€œI promiseā€ for each line, but after that we had no clue what the other would say.
PLEASE DESCRIBE YOUR CAKE: No fondant, nothing fancy. Just a tasty chocolate cake with real icing (no clue what flavorā€¦it was white) and fresh flowers. Mmm, cakeā€¦
HOW WAS YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER? Fantastic!! And our experience relates back to the question about what inspired our vision for our wedding ā€“ Sara and Jason manage to capture what weddings feel like, not just how beautiful they look. The joy, the excitement…you canā€™t get better photography than that. ā˜ŗ
WHATā€™S NEXT FOR YOU AND YOUR HUSBAND AS A COUPLE? Weā€™ve been talking about getting a pair of kayaks for a while, and we just bought some! Now we just have to wait for warmer weather to actually use them. That, and hanginā€™ out with our dog, Halley.
