We spent a beautiful Florida afternoon on a fantastic yacht with this wonderful couple. Life is good! Looking forward to working with Kristin + Chad again in October for what is sure to be a gorgeous wedding.

We had such a fantastic time with Ashely + Nick in Miami! They are so easy going, fun and adorable, and we cannot wait for their wedding next Valentine’s Day.

Interview with the spectacular Ali + Ryan:
HOW DID YOU MEET? Random chance at Fiddler’s Green Irish Pub.
WHAT ATTRACTED YOU THE MOST TO YOUR HUSBAND/WIFE? (Ali) Ryan’s heart – he is genuine and so loving. Plus, he’s cute. 🙂 (Ryan) Ali’s fun-loving personality and the way she gets me.
HOW DID HE PROPOSE? At our favorite park in San Francisco… overlooking the Bay at sunset. It was simple. It was perfect.
WHAT INSPIRED YOUR VISION FOR YOUR WEDDING? Early on, we were given the advice to not get caught up in the trends or gimmicks, but rather to celebrate what would be looked back on as a representation of us as a couple. Our vision was to stay true to who we are and what we love.
TELL US ABOUT FINDING YOUR VENUE: We lucked out! As we debated between getting married in Florida versus California, the Alfond Inn opened. We knew it was the right choice because it was in our hometown – the perfect place to bring all of our friends and family together.
WHAT WAS YOUR BIGGEST PLANNING CHALLENGE? Planning a Florida wedding from San Francisco. Thank goodness for the team of people that helped make it happen!
WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE DESIGN ELEMENT OF YOUR WEDDING? Our flowers. They were incorporated everywhere… from the floral crowns that the bridal party wore and the unique large table arrangements to the surprises of air plants + succulents and the fun small arrangements in eclectic containers. It was romantic and ethereal, but also modern and fun!
DID YOU HAVE ANY DIY DETAILS? SO many! I designed most all the paper goods (even back to our Save the Dates), design elements on all of the tables (gold bursts, painted votives, etc.), even a Cornhole game.
WHAT WAS THE MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT OF YOUR WEDDING DAY? Seeing each other for the first time. It was a chance for us to be alone and share in our excitement before the day got away from us… that, and the epic dance party that took place later that night!
DESCRIBE YOUR CAKE: We opted for a tiny wedding cake and had a large assortment of cupcakes… something for everyone!
HOW WAS YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER? Better than we could have imagined! Sara and Jason made us, our family and our friends feel so comfortable. We knew they would be able to capture “us.” Plus, Sara has awesome high-kicks that can capture the attention of any child. 😉
