I have been dying to share this post! Not only did we have the honor to shoot Megan + Brandon’s amazing wedding at Paradise Cove, but we met back up with them the following Monday at The Acre (super-cool venue in Orlando) for this fantastic and fun day after shoot! Enjoy!

Interview with the lovely Megan:
HOW DID YOU MEET? We met online! And we both knew immediately after we met each other that this was something different. This was the real deal. We are both originally from Illinois but we never would have crossed paths up north. It took us both randomly moving to Florida to meet each other.
WHAT ATTRACTED YOU THE MOST TO YOUR HUSBAND? His sense of humor, definitely. You never know what is going to come out of Brandon’s mouth, he’s always a surprise! Brandon also has a good heart, and we bonded over being new to Florida.
HOW DID HE PROPOSE? We went to Clearwater Beach for a few days to celebrate our one year anniversary. He proposed on the beach right after sunset, and then we went barhopping and showed off the ring to anyone that would listen. We could barely sleep that night because we were so excited, so we got up at sunrise the next day to walk on the beach. There were dolphins playing in the waves. It was all perfect.
WHAT INSPIRED YOUR VISION FOR YOUR WEDDING? We fell in love in Florida so we wanted to have a fun, tropical, Florida wedding! I tried to stay true to things that I love as well, and it all ended up coming together. The venue helped create a tropical vision, and my love of turquoise and pink brought together everything else.
TELL US ABOUT FINDING YOUR VENUE: We originally wanted a beach wedding, but then I decided I really didn’t want to walk around on sand in a wedding dress. I also thought it would be easier to plan a wedding locally in Orlando instead of the coast, which it was. We stumbled upon Paradise Cove, and it was perfect! It had the beach vibe and the water. It was casual and fun, it was perfect for us.
WHAT WAS YOUR BIGGEST PLANNING CHALLENGE? We decided to get married, buy a house, and get a new puppy all around the same time. The biggest challenge for me was finding time for everything without going crazy.
WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE DESIGN ELEMENT OF YOUR WEDDING? I loved all the flowers and the way the florist decorated the archway. It was so much more beautiful than anything I had pictured.
DID YOU HAVE ANY DIY DETAILS? My mom painted the welcome sign and helped me put together the card holder. I also painted the basket that held all the beer coozies. I was going to DIY the table numbers but I ended up using some that I had custom made by the same girl that made my invitations. I got a lot of my decorations on Etsy, which was the best resource! Kayli was the wedding coordinator from Paradise Cove and she did an excellent job setting everything up.
WHAT WAS THE MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT OF YOUR WEDDING DAY? The boat entrance was awesome! We had Midnight City by M83 playing in the background, I loved it! But the best memory was walking down the aisle with my dad and seeing all the guests standing there so happy, and then seeing Brandon and our bridal party at the end of the aisle. It was surreal, and the weather was so perfect. Everyone was either smiling or crying. I feel so lucky that I will always have that moment to remember.
DESCRIBE YOUR CAKE: We had seven different flavors of cupcakes, and a small red velvet cake to top it all off. Everything was delicious!
HOW WAS YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER? Awesome!! We love Sara and Jason!! All the photographs went by so smoothly that we were able to relax and enjoy the wedding. They are truly professionals and fun people to hang out with!
WHAT’S NEXT FOR YOU AND YOUR HUSBAND AS A COUPLE? We have to plan a honeymoon at some point! And finish unpacking our house. And start obedience classes for our puppy. And I would like to get more involved in photography as well. We always seem to be busy with something.

I might be a tad biased, but I’m pretty sure my sister is one of the most incredible human beings on the planet. She graduates (double major) from UF (honors college) in next Saturday (summa cum laude). Me, proud?
